Who we are
Legion of the Stag, founded in 1998, is a British medieval combat re-enactment group based in Somerset.
Since 2007 we also have a German contingent, split in a Rhineland and a Swabian contingent again.
The group concentrates on free-style fighting techniques with various weaponry (sword, dagger, axe, spear etc) on both an individual and small group level.
Emphasis is placed on safety as well as an effective and realistic style of fighting.
Every year the group participates in medieval festivals, encampments, film work and show events throughout North-West Europe.
